Hi, friends
i am new to this forum, i have Toyota tercel - 1993, LS
it runs well, still no problem
but every week i have to add oil up to 400-500 ML (aprox)
i tried anti burn-additives with oil too, but no improvement
when i start car at that time white smoke( not blue smoke) very little for 30-40 second
while running there is no any smoke
current condition runs well and excellent
right now i am using 10W-30 insted of 5w-30 but no improvment

what should i do to stop or less oil burning??
is my engine going towards die??

i need suggestion what should i do
i am in totorto, car mech. is too costly and i can not afford them

pls. give me your valueable suggestion

I had that problem in my Toyota Starlet but in DR used parts and mechanics are very cheap, so I replaced my 1E 999cc engine by a used 2E 1295cc for only $500USD plus $100USD to the mechanic.
For now, I recommend to you to use 20W50 oil instead of 10W30 because is too thin. Also here sells 25W60 for high-mileage cars but I don't know if in Canada they sell it too.
