I love toyotas. This is the VERY first time I ever experienced this before. I just rebuilt my 1995 previa s/c engine. It started fine (just like a toyota ). However, I had to turn off the engine because there was NO oil pressure. The oil pump is very simple (two gears). I checked my oil pressure relief valve( good). Six quarts of oil in the pan. No blockages to my knowledge. Does anyone know why my oil pump won't suck oil into the new filter and push it thru the engine? I'm agonizing over this delemna since it has never happened before to me. Puuuullll....eeeezzzee MAKE MY DAY!

Check sending unit connection, these have a habit of rotting off at the electrical terminal. Is in middle of van, and underneath. I have had good luck using 20w50 oil almost year round. I think this will help, and your ac unit will work less hard, since you do sit on top of the block. Put 45 pounds of air in your tires, too. They will last longer, and your gas mileage will improve even with the heavier oil.

Remove the oil filter put some oil in it, disable the ignition and crank. Don't know how to prime oil pump. Good luck
