Hi,
Recently purchased 97 avalon for $3,500.
I heard the car was in an accident but it seemed OK.
From the beginning, when the gear is shifting, the car chunked.
Now the weather is getting cold, the car doesn't even move unless warming up at least 3-4 minutes.
Once it's warmed up, it runs well, still got the chunks though.
I need someone to tell me whether it's transmission problem or some other parts.
If anyone could tell me how to solve it, I would really apprciate.

Sounds like it might be the front engine mount looks like a shock absorber on the front of the engine. Hope that helps you. Or if you turn hard and hear popping it will be your cv joints.
