Why would you ever put a TRD sticker on your truck if it's not really an original TRD? That's messed up. If you are going to put the sticker on there, make sure it looks almost like it's a true TRD OFF ROAD TRUCK!

I put the TRD sticker on my truck because i like TRD products and my truck had everything the "real" TRD trucks do, which is only the Bilstein shocks and fender flares. Why would you join a Tacoma 4x4 club with a Pre-runner, that's messed up.

If you have everything that an original TRD truck would have, then I guess it would be fine, but if it looks nothing like a TRD, don't buy the sticker. About the Prerunner thing, if there was a prerunner club, I would have joined it, but there isn't so.......I had my choice to get a 4x4 Tacoma just like the one I have, but why get it when I never would use it? It snowed the most it has here this year as far as I can remember and I didn't have a problem going anywhere. I don't have a need for a 4x4 truck because I don't go hunting or anything like that.

I have a Pre-Runner too. I joined this club for the same reasons that Daddy D did. I drove through the tough winter with my 2 wheel drive and never got stuck once. As a matter of fact, I didn't even use sandbags in the bed. All it took was cautious driving. I don't go 4 wheeling obviously, but I can access all the off road area's that I need to, with 2WD. I get many compliments for the appearance of my Pre-Runner. They all think that it is a 4WD. I just smile and tell them how much money I'm saving on my insurance and how much less maintenance is required for my very capable 2WD vehicle.

TRD is a nice package. The only thing I don't like is the ride is very hard. Get the package, and put different springs on. Or, I just learned, greasing the leaf springs might help a lot. The locker is cool, but you'll only need it for the most hard-core conditions. Still, nice to have. Better than getting stuck. My '98 TRD came with 31" tires stock. Great clearance. Skidplates are good too.

Hey. A locker will break an axle in certain situations, usually under low speed, high stress situations, such as when your wheel is at full articulation and its stuck between two boulders. That wheel is going to try and turn no matter what, and something is going to give. You do need to use it sensibly, but like I said, it is rarely needed for average off-roading. And it won't break anything in most situations, generally only in rock-crawling. If you plan on climbing boulders, you should check some of those websites.
