I have a 1990 Toyota Surf and here's my problem. I get a slow acceleration........not too slow but weak up to about 2.5k rpm's. I have to press on the gas past the halfway mark to get the rpm's past 3k and from there the acceleration will be fine. Could this be a faulty fuel pump or filter?

not sure what engine you have but i have a 96 2.8 diesel and it sounds like were both having the same problems how does yours go at sitting on 100kmph
