Hi, I have a 4 cylinder '98 Camry with 150,000 miles on it. Lately when I am driving on the highway sometimes my tach gauge will fluctuate about 200 rpms (fairly slow fluctuation) and the car seems as if the engine cuts off or the car runs out of gas. This happens for just a second and then repeats. My passengers do not even notice it until I point it out to them. If when this happens I push on the gas pedal the car responds perfectly. I am really good in describing the conditions when something happens but this problem seems to be random (cold, hot ,etc). All I can say is that it happens when I am on the highways for all speeds I do (50-70). Could it be as simple as replacing the fuel filter? Any help would be appredciated. Jomo
