I've finally got insurance for my GTR, with Lifesure! When I was viewing the car, the former keeper drawn my attention to noise coming from the back of the car; he said it was the new back box (exhaust) he had fitted that was banging against the chassis and it just needed adjusting. Took the car out for a spin today and it seemed the noise is not what he said. I took it to a tyre and exhaust place to get sorted; I was told it's not the exhaust it's something else that needed a full investigation. I think I may have bought trouble! From my own investigation, I found. When the car is in 4WS, the noise is there especially when going over bumps or uneven road surfaces. When I put the car into 2WS and start to reverse I hear the same noise. Then I go forward and the noise is still there. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I presume we're talking about a "clunk" from the rear end? rear antiroll bar bushes, easy fix, upgrade to polyurethane bushes for about ?17, tightens yer back end up no end (oooerrr missus).

Yeah, I would say it's more of a "clunk"! If it's the anti-roll bar bushes, I wonder why they didn?t spot them when the car was MOT'd 4 months ago? Can I get these bushes from any car spares shops, or from Toyota?
