Hi people. Well i have more or less decided to keep my GTR as i couldn`t face life without it...sad i know but hey thats the way it is!. Any how i had been toying with the idea of turbo charging it, and as i am going to keep it now i was wondering do any of you know any good specialists who can do this work, and do you know of any one who has had it done??. I don`t want to buy a GT-4, as the paint job on my car is really kool looking and besides the car only has about 60,000 mls on it i reckon, and it is sound mechanically and everything. Thanks as ever

- Alright mate, i used to be part of this group when i had my gtr and i to wanted more power so i decided to go to fensports main mechanic s@j motors in drotwitch, but he informed me that it would be pointless as A) the conversion would cost twice as mush as buying a gt4 and B) the people that he knows that have done the conversion always complain about the bad handling. i went and brought an mr2 turbo and even though it has loads more power i miss my celica so much, it just had so much caracter and looked the dogs. My advice would be to keep the car. Good luck tom p.s thanks once again to all the people that helped me out with the car i just wish the mr2 group was as good!

Cheeer mate...well i talked to someone last nite and he reckoned i`d be better getting a tuning kit...ie...big cams and carbs and a straight through exhaust...thing is i`ve already spent ?300 on a stainless steel system from the cat back...so that would put me off the straight through system, but i maight consider a mild road cam...apparently this would give it a good increase...he suggested even getting rid of the fuel injection and a bank of carbs...so i`ll have to do a bit of thinking...i know what you mean about the celica...my celica gets so many looks it unreal...the cracking paint job is fantastic to see...so  i don`t think i`d want a MR-2.   Good luck
