Hello, I have a 2000 tundra that pulls an enclosed trailer. the back end sags and i want to know what would cure the problem best. I was thinking of an underbody hoist. If so, do i need to lift the front? any ino and suggestions would be great. thanks, norm

Hi Norm. Welcome to the forums !!

If your back-end sags due to the weight of the trailer, my suggestion is you simply use an equalizer hitch.

Hey Pongo,
Thanks for the quick reply. Dang, I dont know what an equalizer hitch is. Could you elaborate for me? How much would that cost? Thanks for the welcome!

An equalizer hitch uses 2 support bars on either side of the hitch to actually create a bridging effect across the hitch area (the bars swivel as you turn).

If you go to a trailer-sales place, in 5 minutes they will show you and explain the whole thing.

You need a Class 3 hitch on your truck. It's a special receiver (ball-mount) for your truck and accessories to install on the trailer.

If you need a Class 3 hitch installed, then everything together should be about $800. Otherwise it's about 1/2 that for just the receiver/bars/etc.
