how can i take the valve cover of of my 97 camry while the engine is still in the car?

(engine is a 5S-FE I4)

Don't know why you want to do that, but I would suggest you go to a PEP Boys, US1, AID auto, or whatever auto store you have near you and pick up a service manual for your car. Haynes makes one. It gives instructions and photos to show how to pull the valve cover or anything else you want to do. It's not complicated or difficult. Just remember to mark the hoses and connectors so you know where each one goes when you want to put it back. I'd like to give you step by step but my manual doesn't cover that engine. Sorry.
