I have an 87 Hiace 2 liter petrol. It's leaking out of the water pump shaft seal I think. I got a new water pump, and am going to work on it this weekend. There is evidence of rust in the cooling system. Wondering how to deal with that, getting as much out as I can. Also, it looks like the cooling pump housing is part of the engine block. A new one on me. How do I clean up the inside of that?

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Al
