I decided to wash the motor on my '89 MK1 S/C. Now is undriveable and fouling big time. Ignition checked and dry. Run for 10 to 15 minutes fouling then dies off. I never had problems washing engine on my previous Toyota or with my 4Runner after washing the motors. Seems it's drying slowly on its own as I let it run after a little while before it dies off. Anyone had this problem before or knows what or where else might be the problem? It's was running fine before the motor wash!

Pull the plate covering the spark plug access, remove any water (shop vac)in the spark plug locations. Pull the spark plugs, make sure they are dry. reinstall, also check to see that the plug wires aren't still wet. New plug wires may work also. This is a common problem for those that clean their motors with a hose.
