our thoughts, um well, I think I can pretty closely sum up all of the
thoughts of all of the members of the supras onelist by saying, "hell no."
there is no way in hell one of those things could even touch an 86.5 supra
TT. which supra are you looking to buy. the MK III or MK IV? makes a world
of difference, but a supra is still a supra. you can count on the engine not
dying on you if you change the fluids on a regular basis (can even go to
5-6K miles if necessary). furthermore, the supra tranmissions are almost
bullet proof. the one for the MK II and MK III are the same, even the
positioning on the engine. they can take up to 500 ponies easily, without
fear of overloading it. the MK IV transmissions, well lets not even talk
about them.
My brother owns a '90 Z TT, and has it upgraded to 579 hp at the wheel. If
he would have spent the same amount of money on buying and upgrading a
supra, he would not have as powerful of a car. but he also doesn't have as
much fun driving a Z compared to my friend with a regular old '95 supra TT.
