I had blue smoke coming from my exhaust what does it mean? I know that Black smoke is often times a result of too much fuel and not enough air in the combustion chamber. And I know that Gray smoke is caused by brake fluid. And it generally means that your brake master cylinder is bad, and is getting sucked through the vacuum brake hose... but I don't never seen blue smoke from my exhaust before and I have no idea what it means...

If the blue smoke is coming from your exhaust pipe, then it's probably oil getting on the spark plugs. You need to have your seals/gaskets checked.

This is not good. You are burning oil.

Does the blue smoke go away after it warm ?

You could have blow-by on your piston-rings that seat once the engine warms up. If this is in fact the case then your engine has very limited life.

yeah, its more than likely oil. I wouldnt go as far as to say the engine has very limited life left, thats nonsense. It may just be bad valve seals, which are dirt cheap. Run a compression test on the engine, that will tell you which cylinder/s is leaking.

From my Mechanic after I had this problem:

It's oil buring and was just a seal that needed to be replaced. Cost me $25, installed.
