New guy here. I have decided to get an 08'. I just wanted to get advice on what I should lookout for. The truck I'm looking for is the V6 Access Cab, 4x4 with towing package and it has the SR5 package. Any thoughts?

What do you mean by "lookout for"? It's a new truck, hopefully there won't be anything wrong with it.

I guess I should have been more specific. What other options or equipment should I consider buying? Things that you folks found about your trucks that you really like that does not come in a standard or SR5 package. I guess an example would be the standard sound system vs. the upgraded one. Is it really that much better? Just advise from your experiences.

Unless you are in love with manual transmissions, Id go for the automatic tranny. Typically, the automatic pulls better fuel milage than does the manual.

Thanks. My manual transmission days are far behind me. Convenience over cool. What kind of real world MPG can I expect from the 4x4?

Thanks LUV. I take it the heavy duty tow package is the one with the class 4 hitch?

The fuel milage you get really is going to depend upon how you drive, but you should be able to pull 18-20 mpg on the highway with a 4x4.
