Can someone describe to me what this is? I think I have it on my car, but I didn't order it. Thanks!

That's what I thought. I just discovered that my car does this. Isn't this an option you're supposed to pay for? Why is it on my car? On Fri, 15 Oct 2004 01:19:33 -0000, Michelle Vadeboncoeur wrote >

I didn't get any options on my car. I bought the base model.

I have to find my sticker (bought the car last November) I got one of the first cars to come into the dealership. I paid almost 22,000 (after taxes) for my car. I ordered the base model. I don't have to use my key for anything. I walk up, open the door, put my foot on the brake, hit start, and go. I just didn't know how to lock it...thanks! And yes, I have the silver logo on my key fob. I have all those black buttons on my car, but had no idea what they were for. I knew I didn't order the smartentry, so I didn't even bother reading about it. Is it at all possible that I got someone else's car???

Deb You had black buttons on your car for nearly a year, without finding out what they were for? Cool! Here is someone who takes the world as she finds it... whatever you have, it ain't the base model. Maybe Michelle V or someone can guess the model from the price. Fiond your sticker and tell us the model, you may have other features still lurking... regards Jerry

I assumed the black buttons were for the smart entry system, which I thought I didn't have. I have had vehicles that had buttons that didn't work because I didn't have that particular option. I assumed it was the same on my Prius. Imagine my surprise! Now I'm curious what else I may have on this mystery car of mine.
