2000 Corolla, 130,000.
I was driving 60 mph on the highway. The engine began to loose power and a "bang" was heard from the engine area. I coasted to the shoulder and tried to start and all I get is cranking. Since then, I tried to start it with starting fluid and it didn't start, so I kind of rule out a fuel delivery problem. Could it be a timing chain? How do I check it? Compression test? Help please!
