Hi All,

I have a question. I am thinking about buying a wheel for my 88 NA Supra. .. and I come across a wheel. that has 17" X 7, 17' X 8 or 17 X 9.5 or just a 18' X dont know width... what is the different between them? I know the width of the wheel is for how wide the tires are.. i think i want something like.. at least 235 / 40 tire front.. and 245 / 40 rear.. which size wheel will fit the best? Any advise?? Thank you.

bit of random advice from experience .. purely for cost of tyres stick with 17" wheels at the moment .. 18" double in price unless you have a mate that sells them ,, as for widths 7" will take 235/45's easy (which is the most generic tyre size for 17"s) and 1" bigger on the rear with the 245/40 will look a treat .. hope this helps

you should be able to fit 235/45 16" under the guards ,, but 17"s might be pushing it .. as always a few measurements should help you out .. a good tyre supplier should be able to give you radius measurements without too many probs
