What do you think about more women buying and driving trucks? A good thing or a bad thing? What is your opinion?

As a female, I have to say I like trucks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/460.gif)

That said, for what I use a vehicle for, an SUV works better ....I use one for hunting and shooting so it
carries dogs and guns plus additional passengers from time to time. One thing I don't like on pick-ups are
camper shells (it's like 'get an suv!). Tonneau covers are okay but a pain.

But a plain pickup used for what they should be used for is pretty sexy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grin.gif)

I like trucks...too...big ones, but as a mother I got to go with the SUV being my favorite...it's that soccer mom, in me!

I think is alright, as long as they can drive, but that goes to men too! If you can't drive, get yourself a little car with less chances of hitting anyone!

Only thing I've ever hit in anything is a deer ...hence the deerguards on the front bumper lol.

Well that is definitely a good thing! That's a good way to get the insurance company to cough up the money for a new car!

See, I think that most women can drive, despite the stereotypes...I just think we are more cautious...if you look at my hubby who is a faster and braver driver, take note he has also have several more accidents than the average woman, lol.

I'd rather buy a car the regular way ...hitting a deer at any speed is quite a jolt and does enormous damage.

Hitting deer is the worst. I am not sure if I feel bad for my ride or the deer. In most cases the deer is so injured but still alive...it sucks.

Yup ...you really need to go back and kill it rather than letting it suffer, and that's not easy to do.

I am a woman and I LOVE trucks! As soon as my kids get big enough to not require a carseat anymore, I intend to purchase a 4x4! We live in Southeastern Oklahoma and are considered "hicks" if you want. We go four wheel driving and camping off-road anything outdoors and we are there! I say drive what you want but trucks are AWESOME! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif)

I'm not a huge fan of trucks. Especially the beat up one that lives in the back of my garage. But you try hauling anything in the sports cars or hybrids I drive and you will quickly appreciate the truck.

I say a woman should drive whatever she darn well pleases!

Well, if a woman wants a truck...us sisters deserve one as much as a guy does! I really wish I had one for all the hauling I have to do. My poor car is banged to pieces :(

I had a friend in college who drove a dually, and she couldn't have been over 5 foot! It was a little strage - little girl with a BIG truck, but really cool though. Came in real handy on moving day!
