Well, it's been a couple of months since the debut of the most luxurious sedan ever to bear a Lexus symbol. So, this inquiriy is directed towards LS 430 buyers: how are you enjoying your Ls 430?

Be explicit with your answers.

I took delivery of a black on black ls430 before thanksgiving. it is my 3rd lexus (recently ls400 & before sc300).

i like the styling and interior yet i am still getting comfortable with the suspension and engine. i am a very hard and fast driver (perhaps i should have stayed in a coupe). while it has more power than my 97 ls 400, and an extra gear on the transmission, i am not sure that i like the power curve. i shift most times manually, starting down in L. i think my old ls 400 came on more even in power. the ls 430 i think doesn't punch as quick initially, and then surges on like a turbo.

with regards to the suspension. i notice that something has changed which has made the ride harsher, yet i am not sure, better handling. there seems to be an awlful lot of feedback through the steering wheels through the front tires. i drive in nyc and some of the roads are tough. this suspension seems to convey every imperfection in the road surface through the car. i would sacrifice some ride comfort for better handling, but i don't feel it. in fact, i feel that my old ls 400 ran flatter around corners. the ls430 seems to roll more and sit higher, although it may be my imagination, because even with my other cars, i drove my lexus dealer nuts with always checking the suspension. however, sometimes i was right and the shock towers pulled away and one time bushing needed to be replaced.

in summary, i love the interior and styling. however, i am still not sure about the car overall. for some reason my old ls 400 seemed more solid and of better quality.
